Type: Periodic Perihelion date: 4 March 2020 Perihelion distance (q): 3.2 Aphelion distance (Q) : 6.1 Period (years): 10.1 Eccentricity (e): 0.32 Inclination (i): 3.0 JPL orbit diagram COBS lightcurve 0203P = 1999 WJ7 = 2008 R4 An apparently asteroidal 18th mag object discovered on 28 November 1999 by Korado Korlevic at Visnjan with a 0.41-m f/4.3 reflector + CCD was indicated on some of his December images to be possibly "fuzzy", and the cometary nature was confirmed by C. Hergenrother and S. Larson, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, who found a 13" coma elongated in p.a. 80 deg on a 600-s co- added R-band exposure taken on 7 February 2000 with the 1.54-m Catalina reflector. Gareth Williams identified images of 1999 WJ7 in incidental astrometry taken with the 0.9-m Spacewatch telescope on 3 September. The comet was 20th magnitude, with perihelion in February 2010.
