Type: Periodic Perihelion date: 28 January 2021 Perihelion distance (q): 1.8 Aphelion distance (Q) : 10.3 Period (years): 14.9 Eccentricity (e): 0.71 Inclination (i): 17.1 JPL orbit diagram COBS lightcurve 409P/LONEOS-Hill = 2005 XA54 = 2020 V1 On 6 January 2006 Rik Hill found an obvious comet in Catalina Sky Survey images. Tim Spahr identified this with an asteroid discovered by LONEOS on 4 December 2005 and observed on two nights. The comet was recovered on 3 November 2020 by the Zwicky Transient Facility with the 1.2m Oschin Schmidt and by the Mt Lemmon Survey with the 1.5m reflector on 16 November, some 30' from the expected position.
