Type: Periodic Perihelion date: 29 August 2015 Perihelion distance (q): 9.1 Aphelion distance (Q) : 23.0 Period (years): 64 Eccentricity (e): 0.43 Inclination (i): 21.3 JPL orbit diagram COBS lightcurve Michael Schwartz and Paulo Holvorcem discovered a very distant comet on 14 February 2013 at the Tenagra II Observatory in Arizona. At discovery the comet was around 19th magnitude and over 9 au from the Earth. Given the distant orbit, little change in the brightness of the comet was expected, and from March 2013 to January 2015 Kevin Hills reported it at around 18th magnitude. It seems to have brightened significantly during February 2015 from 17th magnitude at the beginning of the month to 15th magnitude on the 23rd. Then on 27 February 2015 it was reported at 14th magnitude by Marco Goiato in a visual observation with his 0.22m reflector.
