Type: Periodic Perihelion date: 22 December 2013 Perihelion distance (q): 0.8 Aphelion distance (Q) : 1,030 Period (years): 11,705 Eccentricity (e): 1.00 Inclination (i): 64.0 JPL orbit diagram COBS lightcurve Terry Lovejoy discovered a 14th magnitude comet on 7 September 2013 with his 0.20-m Schmidt-Cassegrain and CCD camera. The comet had perihelion at 0.8 au near the December Solstice. The comet approached the Earth to 0.4 au on 20 November and was an easy binocular object, with a few naked eye observations around this time. Observations dropped when it was lost to view from the evening sky in early January.
