Eric Christensen, Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, reported the discovery of a 15th
magnitude comet on 26 May 2003 by the Catalina Sky Survey on CCD images taken
with the 0.7-m Schmidt telescope.
Alan Watson found a 10th magnitude comet on SECCHI HI1-B images taken on 8
December 2008. Rainer Kracht made measurements of the object's position and
computed a parabolic orbit, from which Maik Meyer suggested identity with comet
P/2003 K2.
